February 25 - 27, 2015 at IEC Crocus Expo there were held 8th edition of Composite-Expo exhibition – a leading international specialized event in composite industry in Russia, where full range of manufactures of raw materials, equipment and finished products of composites is widely introduced.
Current economics condition, Russia’s weak ruble, the dramatically declining oil prices and the challenging political situation being affecting the Russian market for composite materials and equipment usage has not come to a grinding halt. In comparison with the last year edition, the quantity of visitors increased twice as much, the number of countries, total space area remain the same. All these factors witness an unbroken interest in advanced machinery, production, process technology and high-tech materials.
In 2015 126 exhibitors took part in the show from 19 countries (Austria, Belarus Republic, Czech Republic, France, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Netherlands, People's Republic of China, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and United Kingdom). At the Composite-Expo 2015 there presented the following brand new materials and products:
Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) is one of the biggest Russian higher institutions and research centers in the most important areas of science, engineering and economics of the country. Scientific-educational Center for Aviation Composite Technologies at PNRPU has developed for batch production the technologies of cowl production for reverse assembly, front airframe, cowl flap, deflector and other parts for the Russian trunk-route airplane MS-21.
At the event Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol, JSC for the first time presented a unique technology of manufactured metal-carbon nanocomposites to modify composite materials and a collaborative development with KomAR LLC – fiberglass fittings reinforced by metal-carbon nanocomposites and superplasticizing agent for concrete.
Atena Сo Ltd provides all the necessary items for exterior and interior for objects of any degree of complexity. It presented Jesmonite - novelty in the Russian market. The new material allows solving real issues, such as safety and aesthetic quality. System forming a water-based, largely surpasses traditional counterparts. Lightweight, durable, resistant to any type of weathering, has low water absorption, is not subject to fading, warping. A special technology allows composing these materials with metal, stone, add different pigments.
GRM Systems Ltd. is a progressive company engaged in the production and sales of composite materials for construction of racing boats, ultralight aircrafts, race car and motorcycle chassis, surf and windsurf boards, boat paddles, ice hockey sticks, printing cylinders, medical equipment and other applications. It presented new developments of highly UV stable epoxy resins; new high strength epoxy systems for carbon reinforcements; development of epoxy-amine hybrid systems with long pot-life (especially for filament winding technology) and highest mechanical pressure parameters comparing to currently used epoxy-anhydride systems.
February 25, 2015 within the business program of the Composite-Expo exhibition there were held the Current State and Prospects of Development of Production and Use of Composite Materials in Russia, 8th Practical-Research Conference, organized by Union of Composites Manufacturers and Mir-Expo Exhibition Company LLC. During the conference there discussed the matters regarding composite materials manufacturing and use, and main problems of Russian composite market development and the ways of their possible solutions. At the conference the specialist of the many Russian and foreign companies took part. At the same time with Composite-Expo, there held International Specialized Exhibitions: Polyurethanex (7th edition) that allowed a wide range of specialists to get acquainted with innovation technologies of manufacturing and samples of finished products of polyurethane materials for different branches of industry, Adhesives and Sealants (3rd edition) that attracted significant attention of specialists of the industry: manufacturers and consumers of adhesive and sealing materials and Forum Imtech.
57 exhibitors took part in the events from 15 countries (United Kingdom, Hungary, Germany, Italy, People's Republic of China, Lithuania, Netherlands, Belarus Republic, Republic of Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, USA and Turkey).
February 26, 2015 within the business program of the exhibition there held presentations of exhibitors.
It is worthwhile to point out a significant interest to the exhibition from foreign specialists, who were present at the event both as exponents and visitors as well.
Independent audit check of statistic figures were fulfilled for the third time during Composite-Expo - 2015 and Polyurethanex - 2015 Exhibitions. According to the experts on the space over 5500 sq. m. there situated 180 exhibitors, including 121 national (domestic) companies and 59 foreign ones from 19 countries. Over 14400 people visited the shows and 93% of them were specialists in different fields of industry. It witnesses growing demands of the Russian market to use modern innovation materials and technologies in different industries.
The next 9th edition of Composite-Expo will take place February 17 - 19, 2016 at Halls 1 and 2, Pavilion 1, Crocus-Expo International Exhibition Centre, Moscow, Russia.
