Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) is one of the biggest Russian higher institutions and research centers in the most important areas of science, engineering and economics of the country.

Scientific-educational Center for Aviation Composite Technologies at PNRPU deals with the research and development of new technologies for composite materials and experiment design works for the production of experiment samples of the parts made of composite materials for new engineering products. The advantage of a composite is light and strong construction that greatly reduces the weight of parts.

The Center participates in the program for the development of the new aviation engine of the group PD-14 designed for the Russian trunk-route airplane MS-21. By request of the leading enterprise of Perm krai OAO "Aviadvigatel" the Center has developed for batch production the technologies of cowl production for reverse assembly, front airframe, cowl flap, deflector and other parts.
